Pride Without Borders

Are you an LGBTQ+ person seeking asylum or with refugee status in Bristol?

LGBTQ+ means…Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender or Queer.

Bristol Pride Without Borders is our support group for Bristol-based LGBTQ+ people seeking asylum and those with refugee status. We meet every 2 weeks and spend time together. We support and listen to each other and enjoy celebrating our identities and cultures together. We sometimes go to fun nights out and events.  We aim to connect with Bristol’s great LGBTQ+ community.

The manager and our great team of volunteers can give you support and advice so you can stay safe and get what you need. This includes help understanding the asylum system, accessing housing and finance, supporting you if your housing is not safe or you are at risk of homelessness.

Pride Without Borders meets every other Wednesday from 6pm – 7.30pm.

Who can be a member of PWB?

To be a member of PWB, you must be LGBTQ+ and an asylum seeker or refugee. If you are thinking about claiming asylum you can also get in touch.

We only accept adults – people aged over 18 – as members.

LGBTQ+ people aged 13 to 25 could join another group called Freedom Youth. You don’t have to be an asylum seeker or refugee.
