Volunteers

Volunteers

The fantastic team of volunteers at BRR is fundamental to the work of the organisation. Without the energy and commitment of volunteers we simply could not deliver our services.

The volunteer team at BRR is made up of people of all ages and backgrounds. We aim to have a good mix of volunteers who are our members – asylum seekers and refugees who use our services – and people who are not members.

The way members and non-member volunteers work together at BRR is one thing that makes the organisation so special. Everyone learns from each other and provides essential support to help each other through the challenges and the injustice we witness and experience.

Volunteers Needed

We are currently looking for energetic volunteers in various roles to help with running of the services and supporting members at Bristol Refugee Rights. This is an amazing opportunity to volunteer with a diverse community organisation.

We have a lot of exciting opportunities across the organisation.

Please read this letter to volunteers which has more information about how to apply and further details about volunteering here at BRR.

To make it easier, we have attached the role descriptions for the various opportunities.

Please click on the role to see the role descriptions: Advice volunteer, Helpdesk Assistant, Community Interpreters, Early Years Support Assistant, Member Engagement volunteer, Kitchen Assistant, Barber.

The application deadline is 20th March 2023.

Follow the link to download the application form.

We want the best experience for our members and volunteers and so we take time during this process to ensure we have the right people in the right roles. This means that signing up to volunteer at BRR can take a while. However, we believe the reward is worth the time it takes.

Selection process

Once the application deadline has passed, we will look through all the applications and make sure that applicants are suitable for the roles. We will then shortlist successful applicants. An informal interview will follow prior to attending the induction training.

All volunteers – induction to BRR one-day training on, 20th April 2023, 9.30am – 4pm
